I’ve never done pilates before or I'm not very fit. Can I still join? Of course :-). You don’t need to be super fit or have any experience of pilates to start. In fact, that’s the perfect reason to begin. Our classes are welcoming and supportive, with a focus on helping you feel better in your body over time. You may wish to choose a beginner class so please look at the timetable below.
What should I wear and bring to class? Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely like leggings, joggers and a t-shirt and sweater are perfect. Please bring a mat and low head cushion. We provide all other equipment.,
Where are your Poynton Pilates classes held? Classes take place at The Hockley Centre, just a few minutes from the main shops in Poynton. Please scroll to further down the page for a map, address and parking information.
How many people are in each Pilates class in Poynton? I keep Pilates Poynton classes to 12 people or less in each class. This is to ensure I can adapt for any muscular or skeletal injuries and you receive individual help and guidance.
How Much are the Poynton Pilates Classes?... Your first class is free then it's £9 each class, payable in half term blocks. Each half term is approximately 6 weeks long. Your payment ensures your space each week. If you can't make your regular session you are welcome to attend a different class (see our full timetable). Once you're happy with the exercises you'll also get access to a library of online workouts. There is a 20% discount if booked into 2 classes a week.
I'm over 70/80 years old. Am I too old for Pilates? We welcome older adults in our classes, in fact Pilates can be a perfect form of exercise as it's low impact and easy on the joints. The main thing I ask is if you can down and up from a mat and are comfortable lying on your back, side, front and being on hands and knees. If you're uncomfortable in any position please email me and I can let you know if I can adapt it for you - 9 times out of 10, I can.
